he project is located in the Hua cheng District of Macao, with "sharing, modeling, and exchange" as the core, and the building will be upgraded to a multi-functional student community. The dormitory design integrates the needs of students and the concept of flexible space, and adopts the modular living units of "1+1", "2+1" and "4+1" (bedroom + shared living room), and the shared space on the ground floor meets the needs of learning, social and life. The vertical atrium creates a staircase to connect social, functional halls, and shared kitchens. Perforated aluminum panels and photovoltaic glass curtain walls on the façade promote the symbiosis of the school city through open studios, gardens and other spaces, and the modular design is combined with local environmental protection materials to create a sustainable youth living hub.
Home Of HarmoneyThe panels show a student dormitory renewal design project with the core concept of "sharing, modeling, and communication", which aims to break the isolation of traditional dormitories and transform buildings into open and diverse student community spaces. The design adopts a modular combination of three basic living units, balancing personal privacy and social needs with bedrooms and shared living rooms. There is a public space on the ground floor, and in the vertical space, a green terrace is set up in the atrium, and the public social spaces of different floors are connected together, with a multi-purpose hall, a shared kitchen and a roof garden on the top floor.
Home Of HarmoneyThe panels further illustrate the façade and section drawings to illustrate the design logic of the project in terms of lighting, ventilation, and massing hierarchy. The double-section design reveals the relationship between the atrium and the shared spaces on each level, contributing to the flow of natural light and air, and enhancing living comfort. The project also provides students with more diverse living and learning scenarios by setting up supporting spaces such as small discussion rooms, meeting rooms, and kitchens, and the perspective and bird's-eye view at the bottom emphasize the integration of the project and the environment. Perforated aluminium panels and photovoltaic glass continue to be used on the façade to reduce energy consumption and give it a lighter and more modern appearance.
