A-Ma Moments: A Multidimensional Quest – Themed Escape Room and Exhibition Space Design

This project centers on the revival of Macao’s A-Ma (Mazu) culture through a themed escape room experience. Blending maritime heritage, immersive spatial design, and interactive puzzle-solving, the activity invites players to uncover the mystery of a missing series of Mazu worship paintings while exploring the deep roots of faith and tradition. The design thoughtfully integrates traditional Macao ceramic tile patterns and flowing oceanic elements, creating an atmosphere that is both mysterious and culturally rich. Additionally, a retail area offers Mazu-themed accessories, ocean-inspired cultural products, and Macao blue-and-white porcelain souvenirs. This fusion of cultural storytelling and creative industry not only extends the immersive experience but also promotes the preservation and revitalization of local Macao culture.
