Freehand painting is a unique artistic language in China. It is not only a creation of techniques, but also deeply rooted in the spiritual world of Chinese philosophy and literati, becoming a carrier for them to express their life insights, cosmology, and values. I hope that this unique charm of Chinese art is not limited to two-dimensional space, so I am beginning to explore more diverse ways of presentation. The work innovatively uses paper and plastic as carriers to transform two-dimensional freehand paintings into three-dimensional space, presenting the multidimensional beauty of freehand paintings in a three-dimensional form. The entire set of works consists of 484 parts, each of which needs to go through a complete process of drawing a floor plan, summarizing the brush and ink structure, color/line testing, model making, and three-dimensional drawing to achieve an effect comparable to flat freehand painting. I hope that this innovative design can help more people understand freehand painting.
