The inspiration for Twenty four flavors stems from my observations of contemporary factory ecosystems. The story's setting was born from real-world economic struggles – its roots embedded in the fractured soil of China's modern manufacturing industry. Having grown up in the Pearl River Delta region, where the story's backdrop is my own hometown, I've witnessed multiple waves of industrial transformation over the years. Thousands of factories now endure the birth pangs of "industrial hollowing-out" amidst globalization's tides – these steel behemoths that once roared with the creation of economic miracles have become abandoned carcasses left behind by migrating capital. Struggling to survive under the triple threat of evaporating orders, environmental regulations, and skyrocketing labor costs, they stand as skeletal reminders of a fading industrial era.
