This design integrates restorative environment theory and biophilic design to create a waterfront space that prioritizes both ecological and psychological healing for residents of high-density urban areas. By alternating open and enclosed landscape sequences, the design addresses psychological needs. Diverse vegetation, soundscapes, lightscapes, and aromascapes create sensory healing experiences, while restoring ecological fragmentation caused by land reclamation enhances human-environment interaction. Research data indicates that environmental characteristics such as color schemes and the proportion of water features significantly enhance psychological recovery benefits. The design balances ecological and artificial elements, creating a sustainable waterfront space that integrates multi-layered vegetation with sponge city technology, providing high-density urban areas with green infrastructure that combines ecological value and social benefits.
