PATUATH comes from “PATUA” and “THING”,personifying the Macanese dialect, Patua, to present intangible dialect culture through cultural and creative design. Inspired by the Portuguese rhyme architecture, Taipa Houses Museum, PATUATH aims to enhance people's cultural experience of Patua from the auditory aspect, combined with the music playback function of Portuguese rhyme. In the form of phonographs and tapes, it’s a redesign of things that fade out of people's lives and endangered dialects, giving a new impetus for the survival of the Patua into people's daily life.
