This design incorporates landscape vignettes within a modern urban space, borrowing from human behavioural tendencies and allowing people to move quickly from the modernist surroundings into the atmosphere of Macau's historic city. As one enters the space and walks up to the top of the landscape, the overall form and material detailing allows for a deeper experience of time and history, while maintaining the modernist appearance and evoking the sensory memory of the old town. The transformation of the space inside and out also allows those who enter the space to re-experience the feeling of Macau's historic city in a modern urban space.
